Paul & Bethan Thomas have now agreed a deal with the
Community of Laugharne, which will secure the Sports Field and give the
Athletic Club the
freehold to the property. Joint plans have been drawn up and submited to
Carmarthenshire County Council which will, allow the Athletic Club develop the
sports field, allow the local school to expand with a new playing area,
provide a footpath between Orchard Park and Broadway, Woodland to
Laugharne Corporation and provide houses to the community.
All the local bodies and the community of Laugharne
support this project which will nowallow the Athletic Club to apply for
major grant aid to help with this development.
Planning approval has now been granted for the
scheme and the Section 106 agreement now complete and signed. Arrangements
for the transfer of land are now in-hand.
